The Center for the Study of Wesley and Society

The Center for the Study of Wesley and Society exists to promote the study and dissemination of Wesleyan values and theological perspectives, to encourage reflection on these as they relate to congregations and the greater society, and to interject t these values and insights into the global discussion or world religion and society.

Pastoral Renewal Sabbatical Program

The purpose of the Sabbatical Program is to provide a time and place for pastoral renewal, reflection, and enrichment.

Participants are invited to visit the Marston Memorial Historical Center for periods of three weeks to three months. Participants will have access to the Center’s library and archive as well as support from its staff. The program is self-directed and predicated on the hope that pastors with time to reflect on their call and research the rich history of their denomination will return to the pastorate rejuvenated.

Participants will be responsible for lodging, meals and transportation. The Sabbatical stipend is $125.00 per week. Some scholarship assistance is available.
