Free Methodists are Fusing Christ's Teachings with Up-and-Coming Media
What’s Real Today is a daily video podcast that picks up where most Christians leave off after church on Sunday, helping to guide and inspire them in spiritual growth throughout the week. The goal of the show's creators is to help Christians become active in living out their faith every day, using cutting-edge multimedia resources to partner with local churches and create a more relevant force in our society. Each week Host Devin DeLozier, former worship leader at Mosaic church in Los Angeles, leads views through five daily devotional v-casts based on one central theme. The videos are archived and can be viewed online at www.realfusion.com or deliverd straight to the subscriber's video media players — cell phones, PSP, iPods, etc. — all for free! Andy Yardy, the show's executive producer and partner in New Link Media, is enthusiastic about the opportunity to mold the Christian media approach to multimedia technology. "After I got my video iPod earlier this year I became obsessed with video podcasting," says Yardy. "I guess that had a lot to do with what RF is today. We've seen giant strides in how the general marketplace in adopting this tool, but the Christian market is lagging in its use of media online. Real Fusion is being launched at a critical time in the development of this emerging market." Real Fusion is offering a limited nubmer of free promotional packets to viewers and churches who would like to promote the show. These include a poster, bulletin inserts, a bumper sticker and a t-shirt. Banner ad exchanges with local church websites is another promotional option. The more viewers that show has, the more bandwidth and special features they will be able to make available, so check it out and spread the word about What's Real Today.
