ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Bob Cranston, MD, lives in Champaign, IL with his wife Barbara (Finger) Cranston, who is a kindergarten teacher. They have three children, Daniel,
Sarah and Joanna. Bob grew up in the Philippines where his parents were missionaries under the Free Methodist Church. He graduated from Greenville College, and currently serves on the Greenville Board of Trustees.

In 1982, he graduated from University of IL Medical School in Chicago.
Bob is board-certified in Neurology, and has been at Carle Clinic,
in Urbana, IL for the past ten years. His has been on the Bioethics in-patient
consult team there for five years.He is a MA Candidate, and hopes to complete
his Masters Degree in Bioethics from Trinity International University, in
Deerfield, IL later this year. Bob currently serves on the Study Commission On
Bioethics of the Free Methodist Church of North America. Bob received significant editorial assistance on this project from Dr. U. Milo Kaufmann, of Urbana.
