I
have just read Hitler's Cross: The Revealing Story
of How the Cross of Christ Was Used As a Symbol of the
Nazi Agenda by Erwin W. Lutzer (with a foreword
by Ravi K. Zacharias. It is certainly an eye-opener with
much history and information about the roll of the church
including how Hitler divided it.
The
Swastika was adopted as the new cross in the cathedral
where Luther had preached the "cross of Christ"
four hundred years before.
When Bismarck was installed as Prime Minister [of Prussia],
he said, "The great questions of the day will not
be settled by resolutions and majority vote
but
by blood and iron."
It is worth reading
