Not A Sparrow Falls, by Linda Nichols
Bethany House, to be released September 2002
Reviewed by Julie Innes, John Wesley FMC, Indianapolis, IN

"Not A Sparrow Falls" is about a young girl, Mary, who was tired of running, of being haunted by the empty shell her life had become. She takes on her mother's identity and finds sanctuary in a southern city. Here, she discovers you can hide, but not escape from your past. Lessons from your past can bring healing to those who are hurting and in need of hope, if you are willing to share.

Although Linda Nichols was a new author for me, I got thoroughly wrapped up in the book and the people in it. "Not A Sparrow Falls" has some unexpected surprises. At times I found it hard to put down, especially as the conclusion approached. It was a wonderful read with good insight and depth.
