Where
Are You?
Jean-Claude Fleurant, where are you? We're looking for you. Oh, there you are! Well, look at you! All grown up now! Well, I'll be! So you're a teacher are you? At the Source Bayonnais School where you grew up in northern Haiti? Well, well. Oh, my, you're also the assistant director of the school? My, oh, my. And, a pastoral candidate in the Free Methodist Church? From the time you were a boy you told everybody you wanted to be a preacher. And now you nearly are one. Who would have believed it? You were that little boy, running around the schoolyard, teasing people here and there. You always did have verbal skills and liked telling people what to do. Why, Jean-Claude, we're so proud of you! Oh, you say you wouldn't have been educated if it hadn't been for the International Child Care Ministries program? Your pastor believes it was because of God's grace that you received help through Child Care. God was so good to provide you a sponsor. We know that, too. So you're meeting with the teachers every Friday to discuss the challenges of the week and to prepare lessons for the coming week? That's good, Jean-Claude, that's really good. It's great that you were a part of the teacher training program that took place in Haiti over the last four years, and now you're using the skills you developed to help other teachers sharpen their skills as well. Why, Jean-Claude, we're so glad you're assisting at one of the largest and most respected schools in the area. We've heard that your school is experiencing passing marks in the sixth grade government exams of 20 to 30 percent higher than before the training program began. Way to go, Jean-Claude! Jesus is helping you, and you're doing so many things right. We found you, Jean-Claude Fleurant. And, Jesus found you, too!
