They carried her on their heads — on her sickbed — walking
many miles over the mountains. In August 2003, Lorieze Pierre, an expectant
mother from Saint Michel, was brought to the hospital. She gave birth,
but later the baby died. This woman was suffering from a serious infection.
Before coming to the hospital she had spent many days at the house of
a voodoo priest. She wasn't getting any better, so her family brought
her to the hospital in Dessalines. When the doctors diagnosed her, they
found she required a very difficult surgery.

She needed more than six units of blood. One of the doctors gave two
units, and I gave her one. Others gave too. In addition, all the hospital
staff gave a financial contribution because the lady did not have the
money needed to cover her expenses.
Because of these acts of love, Lorieze is not only alive, but she and
her husband also accepted Jesus as their personal Savior. Please pray
for them.
Jesus lived a life expressing words of compassion and doing deeds of love
for those who were suffering. The whole world must know that the Free
Methodist Church, with God's help, is also offering loving deeds and compassionate
words for all who suffer in the Dessalines Hospital.
My God is so great and mighty; there's nothing He cannot do!
