Editor's Note:
Last summer Rob and Rachel presented ICCM at International Youth Conference in Fort Collins, CO in an evening service. Pastor Mark Van Valin, Spring Arbor FMC, MI, had spoken powerfully in the morning services about the need to go "deep and wide" for Christ by responding to the opportunity to sponsor a child. The music of Wildest Dreams with its PowerPoint presentation drove home the message and resulted in 289 children being sponsored!

Wildest Dreams Helps Dreams Come True for ICCM Children

God can do anything, you know — far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.
— Ephesians 3:20

Rob Blair and Rachel Young call their Christian music duo "Wildest Dreams." The name is based on Ephesians 3:20 (The Message). They sing for Jesus and for the work of His kingdom on earth. They sing, too, for the children of International Child Care Ministries (ICCM), and for those waiting to be sponsored. Rob and Rachel both serve in ministries at Cornerstone Free Methodist Church, Akron, Ohio.

"Two years ago I visited the ICCM office in Indianapolis," remembers Rachel. "While there, I realized for myself what an awesome ministry this is. Then we were able to go to Thailand, the Philippines and Hong Kong on an Asia ministry trip where we met our sponsored child, an amazing experience. We saw 'up close and personal' the difference Child Care makes!"

Out of that experience they wrote the song "Take My Hand."

Every day, just like the last,
Yet all my wants and needs are in my grasp
I'm so empty in all these luxuries I own,
If only I would find the courage to step outside my comfort zone

Far away, on troubled land
Where children live by courage that I don't have
I take for granted many things these children need
If only I would stop and listen I could hear their voices calling out to me

The heart of God, revealed to me
Asking me to give what He gave me
Now I know that I can reach far beyond my needs
So I will share God's heart of love to those children calling out to me

Chorus:
Believe in me - Dream with me
Walk in faith with me - be my friend
Deliver me - Come set me free
Reach for me - Take my hand

Every child in this world should have the same chance
To reach for the stars, to find God's plan
Now it's time for me to help them meet their needs
To give them hope, that Jesus has given me.
