The Hand of God
Greeting on this Lord's Day! As I was reading Luke 7 today, one particular verse struck me: "We have seen the hand of God at work today" (7:16). The question is, have I seen the hand of God at work today? If not, whose fault is that? Do I blame God, asking Him why he isn't working? Or, do I blame myself because I haven't been opening myself up to the power of God at work in my life? (Hint: You're supposed to be asking these questions of yourself, too.) Or, is God working and I'm just not noticing (I'm clueless)? If the answer to the first question (Have I seen the hand of God at work today?) is yes, then praise God! But, if it is no, then it's likely due to the latter two scenarios. Which then begs the question, what will I do about it? How is it that you and I may see the hand of God at work today and every day? I would love to hear your thoughts on this. Please, Lord, use me! Use US!
