David W. Kendall served the Great Plains Conference as Superintendent from 1999-2005, after pastoring local congregations for 15 years in Kansas and Southern Michigan. David was consecrated as a Bishop of the FMC of NA on May 26th, 2005.

His passion for ministry centers on two primary calls — first, to communicate the Scriptures as God's Word in faithful and relevant ways to our world today and, second, to assist God's people to be truly the church in the 21 st century.

David's partner in life and ministry is Lavone. David and Lavone are parents to three daughters and one son-in-law, Charis and Jeremy, Rachel, and Katrina. The Kendalls live in Greenville, IL.
