Area Director for Latin American Ministries Named

Delia Nuesch-Olver will replace David Roller as the Area Director of Latin America due to David Roller's appointment to the bishopric at the 2007 General Conference.

Delia Nuesch-Olver has accepted the position of Latin America Area Director. She will begin her duties August 1, 2008, after finishing her current commitment to Seattle Pacific University. The Missions Executive Leadership Team has approved her as a FMWM extended-term missionary and she has been appointed as Area Director for Latin American Ministries.

Delia has served on the faculty of SPU and presently serves as the Director of Global and Urban Ministries program. She has been a church planter, pastor, translator (English/Spanish/Portuguese), lecturer, denominational executive (Director for Social, Urban and Ethnic Ministries). Most of all, Delia has a great desire to bring people to Jesus - and to use today's multiple global networks to do it more effectively.

Delia is married to Paul Olver, who is pastor of our Rainier Avenue FMC in Seattle, WA. They make a powerful ministry team - even though they have often ministered in different ministry venues.

Please pray for Delia during this time of transition - and for all who carry extra responsibilities during the interim before she can begin her work with us.
