Brent & Celeste Johnson
Brent and Celeste have been singing and writing music together since they were teenagers. In the years since, they've performed their music and led worship in a variety of venues, for crowds as large as 3,000 or as small as one (and that was in an empty coffee house where the only person there was the kid behind the counter wearing headphones).
One characteristic of their music is its adaptability. Whatever the context-indoor or outdoor, spacious church/arena or around a campfire, huge sound system to none-their songs can find their way to the heart of the people there. It is that moment of connection in a live setting with an audience or a congregation that makes their music the most alive. That's what it's about for this singer/songwriter duo.
The challenge of recording is to capture that emotional connection on tape, to bring that to the listener every time they put that CD in the player. They've done just that along the way, and the new record, "What I Was Made For" is an example of that live energy in these songs for worship. This is exactly what Brent & Celeste were made for.

What I Was Made For
Brent Johnson is an Associate Pastor at the Warm Beach Free Methodist Church in Stanwood, WA. He and his wife, Celeste, released their fourth CD, What I Was Made For, this last fall. It was a partnership between them and the Warm Beach Christian Camp and Conference Center. It is an interactive "enhanced" CD of ten original worship songs and one hymn arrangement. Included in the enhanced CD content are chord charts, lead sheets and Power Point slides for each of the songs. It is a great tool for worship. Information about this CD and their other recordings can be found at www.brentandceleste.com.
