How to Live with a "Mad Man"
by Julie Carter
Church Affiliation:
I am a member of a Southern Baptist church, although I consider myself interdenominational and pray, write and work to tear down denominational walls.
Number of Years Writing:
I have been writing for more than 20 years.
List of Other Publications and Year Published:
I have been published in more than 30 Christian publications including Discipleship Journal, Marriage Partnership, Today's Christian Woman and Brio. My central goal as a writer is to communicate to readers that neither happiness nor success can come from embracing the ways of the world but from embracing God’s ways as found in His Word.
Family:
My husband and I have been married more than 30 years. The verse that God gave me for our marriage a number of years ago is, "He has made everything beautiful in its time" (Ecclesiastes 3:11). Yes, we have had difficulties, but God can and does bring good out of them. We have a richer and fuller relationship because of what we've been through — even the battles in dealing with one another's sins. I feel blessed to still be in love with my first and only husband and thankful for God's power, which keeps our love alive. We have two grown children and one grandchild.
Additional Information :
I am a board member of a local Christian women's organization, which puts on an annual two-day women's retreat to help women grow in their faith.
