Don and Jan, with their two children, have extensively explored and camped through the American West. I photograph the diversity of Creation, while Jan sketches it. For several summers we were on the teaching staff at Holden Village (ELCA), Lake Chelan, WA. I was Village Naturalist and Jan taught writing and watercolor classes. We edited and published the Christian Naturalist Newsletter from 1984-1986. Both Don and Jan attended the Mt. Hermon Christian Writers Conf. (California) in 2002, 2003, 2004. Don is a member of the Redding Writers Forum, the Quills of Faith (a group of Christian writers), the Nature Conservancy, the California Native Plant Society, and several other outdoor oriented organizations.
