I released my first book, Dear America: A Letter of Comfort and Hope to a Grieving Nation (Ampelos, 2002), in March of 2002. Following the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, I wanted to connect with grieving people and give them hope. So I wrote about my own experiences with grief and why I believe in God. Then I addressed some questions about God and Islam and why bad things still happen if there is a good God, and I offered a unique, more indepth-than-usual presentation of the gospel.
