Family:
Jeff and I were teenagers when we were married in June 1972. We have been blessed with four children: daughter Colleen Rice (1973) and husband Brad, grandchildren Diana (2000) and Elizabeth Rice (2002); son Jeffrey Howard Combs (1976) and wife Rendy; daughter Christie, who was born in September 1983 and died in May 1984; and the daughter God sent to mend our hearts after losing Christie, Corrie Combs (1985).

My mother, Philistia Adkins, and my sister, Darlene Adkins, have been anchors to my soul through their constant encouragement.
