I was a pulpit pastor for 24 year, serving as an associate and senior pastor, before God moved me into the affordable housing industry in Fresno, CA where Rev. Derek Isaksen, of the FMCNA, directs an urban ministry to non-churched families and individuals. Everyday, on my drive to work, I think to myself, “If I don’t go do what I do there will be someone, somewhere who doesn’t have an affordable, healthy and safe place to live.” I live each day with purpose as I serve God in a very non-traditional church setting. |
