"The Blessing" plays on
He sings, plays the guitar, writes songs and leads music in church on Sunday mornings. This fall he’ll be touring with the GRAMMY Award-winning band, Casting Crowns.

Way to go!
In September, the fifth/sixth grade Sunday school class at John Wesley FMC in Indianapolis, IN, won the Sunday school patrol contest run by Christian radio station 93.9 (The Song). DJ Doug McKenzie brought breakfast treats, souvenirs and the station’s SS patrol van. The class was entered into the contest by their teacher, FM World Ministries Center Human Resources Director Willadean Duncan. Light and Life Bible Fellowship (Olympia, WA) will soon open a state-of-the-art sound recording studio, thanks in part to a One More Soul grant. “The studio will open an incredible door,” says Pastor Larry Rogers.

OMS grant brings pastor on full-time
Before Motley FMC (MN) received a One More Soul grant, Pastor Jim Johnson worked at least 40 hours a week as a food processing plant manager, devoting every “spare” moment to shepherding his growing flock. Thanks to the grant, on Jan. 6, 2006, after 20 years on the job, Johnson “retired” to become Motley’s full-time pastor. The impact Full Story...

Last fall, Cornerstone FMC (Holton, MI) kicked off a 40 Days of Community campaign. For seven weeks the church, including kids and teens, was immersed in the idea of growing deeper and reaching out to the community.
