GC 2003 would never have
been possible without the dedicated work of a
terrific team. "We have had high hopes for
this event," says Bob McDowell, coordinator
for the 34th General Conference. "From the
outset the people working on this project have
sensed that God wants to do a special thing for
the leaders and people of our denomination. That
conviction has continued throughout the entire
process."
The task force has been hard
at work (and in prayer!) since October 2000, planning
everything from logistics to programming, arranging
speakers and accommodations, coordinating people
and equipment, shipping and setting up.

Committees
Meeting, Bringing Resolutions to the Floor
Nine
committees are meeting daily to consider the 85
resolutions submitted for consideration at GC
2003. [Roll cursor over

Receptions
Welcome Old
and New Friends
Many
of the denomination's ministries and organizations
hosted receptions here at GC 2003. For example,
the Free Methodist Foundation and the denominational
Department of Human Resources co-hosted an old-fashioned
ice cream social; Oakdale Christian High School

hosted a reception for alumni and friends.
