In his message at Saturday's Opening Celebration, Bishop Roger Haskins said, "Christianity cannot hope to regain the central position that it had in previous cultures. The Free Methodist Church will need to engage the culture as a missionary presence with an apostolic stance … by living adventurously as a subversive movement … by realizing afresh our total reliance on the Lord."
